Information on Massage Schools in Virginia
The following Massage Schools in the State of Virginia are accredited by the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation (COMTA), an independent accrediting commission of massage therapy education institutions and programs throughout the US. COMTA is recognized by the US Department of Education. The AMTA Council of Schools (COS) is an organization of schools affiliated with AMTA.

Institutions may be accredited by agencies in addition to COMTA and many excellent schools are operating that have not yet sought or acquired national accreditation from COMTA or any other agency. The Virginia Chapter of the AMTA is working to provide a better resource on Massage Education in Virginia and we hope to post a significantly expanded "schools page" in the near future.
